The Jane Ison Family History Group was incorporated in 1994.

In line with the aims of the group the following projects have been undertaken:

• Published ‘The Descendants of Jane Ison 1794 – 1994’ Volumes 1 and 2

• Produced four newsletters (‘The Surprize’) per year

• Held descendant gatherings at

  • Teebar Station – 1998

  • Taroom – 1998

  • Hawkesbury Homecoming – 2003

  • John EATON Descendants – Maryborough June 2005

  • John EATON Descendants – Maryborough November 2005

  • Descendants of Jane ISON – Brisbane June 2007

  • Descendants of Jane ISON – Barraba, NSW October 2009

  • Family reunion – Strathpine, Brisbane Oct 2017

• Restored the grave of William and Jane EATON (Ison) at St Peter’s Cemetery, Richmond NSW

• Restored the grave of Thomas and Martha CROSS (nee BRYANT/EATON) in St Peter's Cemetery at Richmond NSW

• Contributed to and organised the restoration of the grave of John and Mary Ann EATON (nee ONUS) and son William at Teebar, Qld

• Contributed to the fencing of the CROWLEY graves at Cobbadah Station near Barraba, NSW

• Gathered a library of reference books and family histories pertaining to the descendants of Jane ISON

• Repaired several 'family' graves
